Leah Federman

Leah was licensed to practice law in Illinois in 2012, and has been practicing criminal defense law alongside her father ever since. She has successfully represented clients in numerous trials, motions, and hearings both felony and misdemeanor. She has also successfully negotiated many plea agreements, convincing the government to reduce or drop charges entirely. She is well versed in every stage of a criminal matter from arrest through trial, and like her father, she has a familiarity with the Cook County Criminal Courts system that lends itself to obtaining the best results possible for all of her clients. Leah is a 2011 graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law. While at Kent, Leah earned the CALI Award for earning the highest grade in Criminal Procedure: Investigative Process. While in law school, Leah worked as a law clerk in other areas of law, including as a legal advocate at Family Rescue, assisting domestic violence victims to draft and present orders of protection in court. Leah is a 2005 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned a BA in Political Science. She was also a member of the NCAA Division I Women's Hockey Team from 2001-2004.
